Free Wi-Fi, a spa and an award-winning restaurant make the conveniently located Ye Kendall Inn a fine escape without being too far off the beaten path. Opened in 1859 as a Texas Hill Country retreat, Ye Kendall Inn is a registered state and national historic landmark. Jefferson Davis, Robert E. Lee and President Dwight D. Eisenhower slept here long before its most recent renovations. Today, the non-smoking inn has 36 rooms that are set in a two-story main building and separate cottages. All rooms include free Wi-Fi and basic cable TV. The inn's two restaurants include the acclaimed Limestone Grille, which has won the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence numerous times. When it's time to relax, head for the front and back porch, the salon and spa, or the hot tub. You'll also find copy services, concierge services, an exercise room and a wine store (Kendall Provisions Company) on-site. Parking is available. Perched on the banks of Cibolo Creek, Ye Kendell Inn offers easy access to I-10 and US-87, and is a two-minute walk from historic Boerne Town Square. A variety of shopping and dining options are within a five-mile radius. The Alamo is 33 miles from the property, and Fredericksburg is 39 miles. San Antonio International Airport is 29 miles away. Guests say they "would definitely stay here again," calling Ye Kendall Inn "very charming" and suggesting that it "would be great for a romantic getaway."
