The 14-story hotel is built in an historic 1920's landmark building—the former San Diego Trust & Savings Bank. The renovation has repurposed it into 230 rooms, all with coffeemakers, microwaves and mini-fridges. There are high-end mattresses and fluffy bedding for your lounging comfort and free hotel-wide Wi-Fi for surfing the day away. The hotel has a business center to help you stay in good with the boss and a fitness center to keep you moving. The impressive lobby, with its lofty ceilings and grandiose décor, is where you'll find the restaurant, which is open for breakfast and dinner. There is even a 24-hour snack shop for quelling the munchies. The hotel is situated beautifully in the heart of downtown San Diego, three blocks from San Diego Civic Theater. San Diego International Airport is three miles away. It's just a couple of blocks to the famed Gaslamp Quarter, where there's nightlife and dining aplenty, and Westfield Horton Plaza's outdoor shopping is a stone's throw from the front door of the property. The hotel has valet parking only, but the trolley is one block away and the bus is even closer. Balboa Park's dozen museums and famed zoo are one-and-a-half miles away. This converted architectural gem is in a location you just can't top. Though it's no longer a financial institution, the Courtyard San Diego Downtown is a great place to put your money.
