The hotel is situated between the historic ruins (Ruins Mbweni) were originally a school for freed slaves, built by the UMCA (Universities Mission to Central Africa) in 1870 Located just a few miles from the airport terminal ferry, the city center and old town. The hotel features botanical gardens, was conceived in 1991 and has established itself as a thriving botanical garden that includes over 650 plant species, including 120 species of palm trees.
